Things are

going pretty well here. I have had a few stressful days. The

constant thinking of how we are going to make it financially till everything gets

worked out is working on me. I keep going over every possible scenario in

my head.

The DX is sinking

in for . With his limited mobility it’s hard for him to accept

that fact that he isn’t supporting his family and can’t really do

much of anything right now.

I'm so sorry to hear of your worries. Does your husband have short or long term disability through his employer? Have you contacted your local National MS Society to ask for newly diagnosed information? They should have an outreach person who can guide you to the info that would help you and the most. Most chapters of the NMSS also have a lending library, which have all sorts of self-help books and videos, etc. They usually also have information for children--to teach them about MS. Some NMMS chapters also have some financial help if needed.big hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Sharon,

I have emailed our NMSS.  I have not received a

reply yet.  I have made progress but it is just so overwhelming.

Wow, my local ms association was so different. When she asked which CRAB I was on and replied none, it was kind of a "well what do you want" attitude! Totally turned me off and I know there are some places in Canada where they are extremely helpful!

hugs,

Cait

I am glad things are getting a little better. Its hard when you are first diagnosed with any disease but as time goes by you learn to adjust. I will continue to keep you both in my prayers.

I don't when you emailed them but perhaps you would get a quicker response if you called them. I can't remember what state you are in? Another thing you could do is find out from the NMMS if they have newly diagnosed support group meetings in your area. Usually the recommendation for newly diagnosed is to not go to the regular support group meetings because the thinking is that being around people who may have more disability isn't good for newly diagnosed. It never bothered me when I was newly diagnosed but each of us are different. How are the kids doing? SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Sharon,

The kids are doing very well with this so far.  They

love their dad and are very good to him.  My oldest son and daughter help with

my husband’s insulin shots.  They are great at helping.

I will look into a support group around here.
