TS Eduoard - Update #5-

SITUATION (0430CDT08052008)

Eduoard has taken a right (Northerly) turn and will cross the coast at High

Island (Northern Bolivar Peninsula - Jefferson County area). Winds speeds in the

area are 65mph and forward progression has increased.

MY ANALYSIS

This storm has made the 'right turn' that frequently occurs as storms approach

the coastline. The majority of the wind and rain is now coming north and east of

the previously projected tract.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Shelter in Place, following the adage 'hide from wind, run from water'. Movement

by vehicle, especially of a high profile type, is not advised. Follow directions

by your local Office of Emergency Management.

" A prudent man foresees the difficulties ahead and prepares for them; the

simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. "

Proverbs 22:3

Are you a certified 'weather-nerd' or just hep to meteorology? Your analysis

seem more correct than Weather Channel. However, Weather Channel does have a

few good lookin' Weathergirls!!!

Perhaps I am just 'certifiable' (g). My basis is education, experience and

application.
