,She devotes several pages to H. pylori but here is just a couple of paragraphs:"Fortunately, there is a simple and inexpensive remedy that has a high rate of cure and is available in every drugstore. But because it is cheap, readily available, and nonprescription, there is very little research devoted to it, although many antibiotic studies include it in their drugs because researchers know it increases cure rates. (Noach, Henschel).Bismuth subsalicylate, better known as Pepto-Bismol, is the remedy I'm speaking of. Two caplets four times a day, taken with meals and before bed, is best. Be aware that all the forms contain aluminum, and the tablet form contains saccharin—so

use sparingly. In most cases, a two-week regimen will be sufficient. (Goes on to say it turns the tongue black and not to worry. . .)Alternatives to Pepto-Bismol include (1) a non prescription supplement containing bismuth as well as deglycyrrhized licorice (DGL), which as you will learn is one of the best remedies for healing indigestion, ulcers, and gastritis. Take two to three Formula SF734 (Thorne) four times a day for 4-8 weeks, or (2) Gastromet (Ecologic Formulas), which also contains a healing amount of DGL (250 mg) and other optimizing ingredients like vitamin U (isolated from cabbage juice and known to heal ulcers) and chlorophyll, same dose. A companion to either of these is Helicoactrin (Ecologic Formulas) with high sulfate mucin needed to heal a badly invaded and damaged gut, accompanied by many other aids, same dose."If you think your child has this, I would recommend this book as she goes

into a lot of info about it and many other gut bugs.sally To: mb12valtrex Sent: Friday, March 2, 2012 3:29 PM Subject: h pylori

What is her solution to h pylori?

,Good to know. She says that docs usually give prescription meds needlessly for this when the non presc. products are more effective and cause less damage.sally To: mb12valtrex Sent: Saturday, March 3, 2012 5:40 PM Subject:

That is just an antibody test. Doesn't mean your son has an active infection. Means he was exposed at some point in his life. It is just like if you had measles as a kid, if given a measles blood test now, it would be positive. Doesn't mean you currently have a measles infection. Yes, in Sherry's book she mentions that it is more definitive to have the test twice which indicates how active the infection is.Just loaned the book out to someone whose 15-yr-old son is having major gi issues so I need to buy another.sally To: mb12valtrex Sent: Sunday, March
