Guest guest
SITUATION 1200CDT08052008 Eduoard's center has come inland , but there remains circulation offshore, following the flow and will continue to create some rain and diminishing wind conditions. Rain continues to fall, helping to break the rainfall deficit that has occured in Southeast Texas. Flash flood warnings remain posted for the area. ANALYSIS As far as a storm goes, this one was an excellent way to prepare for more severe storms. One county official even referred to it as an 'exercise'. Do not let the relative minor nature of this storm cause you to be complacent. For every Eduoard, there is a Katrina or Rita. We still have several months to go in this hurricane season and many years and storms in the future. RECOMMENDATIONS Analyze your actions during this storm, use what you have learned to be prepared for worse storms and refine your preparedness. Be safe, be aware and be prepared.
