Guest guest
Well (imitating Gomer Pyle) suuurprise, surprise...Rob has gone and gotten himself a place to live!!! It's a 2 Br. trailer, a very old fixer-upper (meaning he probably isn't paying a lot in rent), Robbin didn't like it, and the worse offence (for Robbin, anyway) is he has NO TV!!!!!!! I'm actually glad, because if he has a local "home" he will 1 ~ be less likely to try and take off with Robbin (again) and 2 ~ since it IS an older-fixer-upper the courts would never award him custody (that is if he tried something stupid enough as to even try and *file* for it!) All it would take is a home study (and you can be SURE there would be one) and he'd be screwed...plus knowing what a slob he is...*giggle* they'd take one look and turn away and give me full custody forever. Not to mention that Robbin would never ever want to live with his dad and at 13 HE has the choice. So I am glad Rob is off the streets, so to speak, and will be staying put. Now he will have to figure out how hard it IS to live by yourself, pay your OWN bills AND rent, buy your OWN food...*snork*let's not forget insurance on TWO vehicles, gas...the list goes on... I don't think it will last but we'll enjoy watching from the sidelines while it does.... Robbin made out like a bandit this Christmas...his dad FINALLY got him the laptop he promised a long time ago. Oh, he didn't buy it, he talked his current victim out of it. The one up in MD. Even though he is here and has no intention of going back up there, he is still stringing her along because his camper is there and he doesn't want her to do something to it. Whatta guy! Robbin also got the game expansion he wanted (from me), clothes and sox from his grandmother, and a snuggie on the way from me. Elaine (Rob's mom) also got me a fleece throw...SO soft! And some candles, and Rita gave me some large coffee mugs (laugh, but it is something I wanted!) and $40. Oh, and Robbin also got $60 cash. All-in-all, pretty good. And Rite made dinner for everyone..prime rib...and it was SO good! I was going to do a turkey breast but decided to leave that for today so Robbin could eat all he wanted with Rob and his family. So tonight it will be turkey breast and yorksire pudding...yum!!
