Fisher price makes one - can be ordered on line or obtained at any toys R

us. My 2 year old loved to play with it.

[ ] Voice recorder/playback recommendation?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a toy that will record a child's

voice and then play it back? It needs to be easy enough for a just-3

year-old to operate. Also, has anyone found this sort of thing to be

useful with apraxia? Thanks.

There is a tape player by LeapFrog that doubles as a karaoke and voice

warp machine on the " What's new " page on Speechville

I am not sure if you can record your voice on it or not. Good luck in

your search!

My son's SLP has a toy Parrot that records your voice as you speak

and then says it back. My son really liked this and would make

sounds just to hear the Parrot make the same sound. I don't know

where to find this but I'm sure if you google " talking toy Parrot "

or something similar you may find it.

Good Luck!

My daughter saw one at Cracker Barrel & wanted to by it for my son's

slp. She said that she thought that would be a good gift for the slp,

I thought that was cute. She is always saving her fun meal toys to

give the slp for her goodie box. She just loves the slp, funny how all

the kids that don't go to speech wish they could!!!

We have the LeapFrog microphone and my 4 year-old Apraxic daughter has

no trouble figuring out how to use it. She enjoys hearing herself, but

I must say I can see her getting frustrated at the speed. All in all

she loves it and uses it almost daily. I've been told it will help,

can't say as I've seen any concrete evidence of it.
