We have an abundance of ravens here as well. They are pesky birds and will steal chicken eggs if they get a chance. SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Well, they do not say "Nevermore" as Edgar Allan Poe claimed.I thought that the Indigo Bunting was (is) absolutely gorgeous! We have Tule Elk on a National Reserve out on a peninsulawest of here; the proper term by which their sexual enthusiasmsare referred to is "in rut." I think birds are as enthusiastic abouttheir "rut" as the elk are--and a lot quieter! Not that Ravens arevery quiet; they squawk and it sounds rather like: "Rhonk! RRRRhonk!"I grew up in the countryside--Michigan at first, then SouthernCalifornia, then Oregon, then Central and then Northern California.I have either lived or visited most all over the world, and always cart my wildlife and botany books along. I am saving up for a better I-Phone or

Blackberry--eventually. My "significant other"(he is not my partner) is a wildlife fiend, too, as is my dear friend,Edna, who also has MS. One can always watch and listen--evenif barely able to move!Love to you, Kathleen, and to all here with us,n, who used to sleep at night with the robins nestlingin the ivy on the side of our house--in spring and summer,in Michigan. . . .To: MSersLife Sent: Tue, July

A Raven in Rut -- That's funny and would be a good subject for a poem ??? Or -- for a song?? LOL

I have been enjoying watching the birds in the yard. I have feeders filled with black oil sunflower seeds just out the parlor window. We have a variety of birds coming to feast every day including blue jays, grosbeaks, finches.... The past few days we have had fledgling grosbeaks and they are so cute. Anyway... I was just thinking about "my" birds and wanted to share with you all. hugs
