Guest guest
I just want to say that I logged on earlier today, read a few posts and proceeded to get completely overwhelmed by the pain, complexity, and rawness of the various situations that needed addressing. I thought about responding, but then I thought, I'm just not up to it. Then I thought, that's okay, because I know Annie will do a smashing job of meeting these genuine souls exactly where they need to be met. Annie, I do not know how long you have been here. I myself have not been here long at all. I have come to think of you as the Welcome-to-Oz matriarch. I so appreciate you and your contributions here. Guest guest
That is a kind compliment; thank you, heartfulcourage! I think what makes this support group so amazing and healing and even therapeutic is that there are so many of us here willing to share our own experiences and insights with each other. I have gained both validation and support here, and new ways of thinking about my own issues by reading the posts of other KOs here. People do come and go at the Group; its normal that as we become able to process and resolve our traumas, rid ourselves of inappropriate, misplaced guilt, and gain self-confidence and self-respect RE handling our bpd parents, we find we are ready to move on and start new chapters of our lives: chapters that don't revolve around our nadas or other bpd relatives. I am starting to feel that I am ready to start a new chapter, myself. I think a lot of my deepest pain is lessening, and my anger is starting to dissipate, now that my nada has passed away. So, I hope you and others here will all consider reaching out to newcomers, greeting them and offering your own experiences and insights, articles you've found, your own successes as well as your own frustrations, because sharing is is healing. -Annie > > I just want to say that I logged on earlier today, read a few posts and proceeded to get completely overwhelmed by the pain, complexity, and rawness of the various situations that needed addressing. Guest guest
Well, I AM older, after all... and some days I feel every minute of being almost 60. But I do appreciate the compliment. It was very sweet. -Annie > > > Wow, Annie. You re a matriarch. Does that make you feel older? > > > >
