We teach blood draws (I'm wondering why) using all three methods. I think

we do it as another way to teach how to find veins more than anything else.

Some of our students get jobs as phlebotomists, so I suppose there's a

legitimate reason for it, but nobody draws blood in the ambulance.

Tim,

When I was with San Jacinto college, I taught our students all the

different ways to draw blood. They had to know all the ways for when we

sent them to the hospitals for clinicals.

All of the above. The concept is introduced to facilitate the student

entering into his/her system with a basic understanding.
