Guest guest
We teach blood draws (I'm wondering why) using all three methods. I think we do it as another way to teach how to find veins more than anything else. Some of our students get jobs as phlebotomists, so I suppose there's a legitimate reason for it, but nobody draws blood in the ambulance. Guest guest
Tim, When I was with San Jacinto college, I taught our students all the different ways to draw blood. They had to know all the ways for when we sent them to the hospitals for clinicals. > I am starting a research project on blood draws in the pre-hospital > setting. > > Are you teaching blood draws with a butterfly? > > Are you teaching drawing blood through the IV start? > > Are you teaching drawing blood through needle and hub system? > > Tim Hardy > EMS Instructor > Blinn College > tim.hardy@... > > > B. mood,BS,LP Marketing & Business Development Manager 13003 Road Suite E-2 Stafford, Tx 77477 ext. 234 (cell) (fax) mlindamood@... All of the above. The concept is introduced to facilitate the student entering into his/her system with a basic understanding.
