Guest guest
Just back...I have:~subtle peripheral oblique tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus.~Patellar chondromalacia with grade III" chondromalacia of the central aspectof the medial patellar articular facet....all greek, or latin to me! He doesn't think it is quite the tear that is causing the pain, but arthritis. Hegave me a script for PT, and is of course recommending weight loss; whichI said I was working on hard...He went into how much weight is put on abent knee, and with every 10 lbs you are overweight, that it puts exponentiallythat much more weight on the knee. Oh well...hopefully I will be able to get offanother 40 lbs or so, and the PT will work well for me!love to you n, and all my friends here,Kateps--you must have had A LOT of PT yourself, following all those surgeries!I am so glad they were all successful! To: MSersLife Sent: Thu, July 15, 2010 5:17:12 PMSubject: reply to Kate's post about her knee Kate, I have had each knee and each hip replaced.Sure felt better after each surgery than before--though I do hope that it is something less, and thatthey can do something for you.Love to you, Kate, and to all here pulling for you,nFrom: Kate Rothschild <rothschildkate@ yahoo.com>To: MSersLife@yahoogrou ps.comSent: Thu, July 15, 2010 2:04:39 PMSubject: Re: Never ending fatigue/ and hot, damp weather/n' s escapades! Guest guest
I hope PT can make a real difference for you Kate. Does you knee bother you while sleeping? My right knee kills me if I sleep on that side. I guess it's arthritis but I haven't been to the doctor for it. Both of my kids had chondromalacia and had a lot of problems as children but it seems to have cleared up for the most part. love to you Kate SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Yes, I'm hoping that the physical therapy can help some, ora lot! It doesn't seem to bother me when I'm sleeping, no.I'd get to the doctor when you can. I know you put thosethings off, but you need to stop doing that, you know? Notto nag, but just to nudge.I'm going to try getting back on the treadmill today, but noincline, just flat. I think I'll start with 15 or 20 minutes andwork myself slowly back up to the 1/2 hour I had been doing.love to you,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Thu, July 15, 2010 7:09:35 PMSubject: Re: reply to Kate's post about her knee I hope PT can make a real difference for you Kate.
