My son is 40 lbs and he is taking 250 mg B6 with 200 mg magnesium in the morning. But he has seizure activity so he probably needs that high of a dose. It's kind of something you have to fiddle with. I know that's not really helpful :-\

I was using Solgar 250mg B6 and Vitamin Shoppe P5P (bio-available B6)but today I found some B6 at the Vitamin Shoppe that is sustained release, so I am going to see if that helpsus even more. I think it's Solaray brand. There's another one they are going to order for me to try,

Source Naturals.

I use magnesium citrate tablets by vitamin shoppe, 200 mg. I chew them because I have a problem with big pills, my kids swallow them. They are oblong and go down easy, my problem is a lapband that will become blocked with a big pill, not actually getting it down.

There are Nutricology Mag Citrate capsules there too, I think 125 mg. Unless that's the brand for my Mag Taurate lolWe get a bunch of magnesium here LOL, go thru it like it's candy :-pAnyway, Vitamin Shoppe is having their sale BOGO50% off right now, till Sept 30. So it's a good time to stock up.

VS also allows returns on open items (double-check your store) so I don't feel bad trying out their products.

Thanks for the info and how about the magnesium?

I think is Super Nu-Thera from Kirkman. A multiple vitamin/mineral supplement.

We use Brainchild Nutritionals Ultra Sensitive liquid. They have a few formulations which start with "ultra sensitive" and work up toward greater doses of B vitamins. My son couldn't tolerate folinic so we've slowly been titrating the ultra sensitive which has low folate but decent amounts of other Bs (lowish B6). When we are done with the ultra-sensitive bottle we will likely begin to the next "level" and try to get more Bs into him.SylviaOn Sep 26, 2011, at 2:11 PM, Toni Marie Lombardo wrote:
