I know...I saw that about Culturelle being on sale.  I'm thinking about driving my van across the border and coming back with a van full.  It's so bloody expensive up here.

culturelle is on sale at target...i am going to add this to my sons regiment along with the kefir...culturelle is lactobacillus ramnos i believe..

He actually tested  extremely low in lactobacillus, erscherichia coli (is this e.coli?) and bifidobacterium.  We did kefir and supplementation for a good while and his poops have been awesome so I stopped.  Maybe I should stay the course a little bit longer.

I've been given some awesome tips to consider.  thanks, everyone..

As much as there may be several reasons, the lack of the proper microflora seems to be the most likely. B's heavily rely on healthy bacteria in the gut to become B's from the food and absorb into our bodies.

Love and prayers,Heidi N>I've noticed Tom can go about 3 days or so without supplementing B's (B complex + B12, B6, and 5mthf) before we notice a difference.>Because of his food choices, logically, he should be getting plenty of

B's. I wonder if there's something viral or perhaps metals that suck the B's out of a person much the same way the Measles suck Vitamin A out.

Hi Tammy,

We used to have coconut issues here too like Channa's house,

but I haven't tried it again in a long time. Thinking I might try

" a couple drops " of the So Delicious and see what happens. We're

only up to about 3 tsp of the kefir water, so I've got a way to

go then before we hit 1/3 or 1/2 cup. Thanks for the info!!

sooooo frustrating. I might try one more time in a week or two because he

does have the sniffles right now (hooray for sniffles!) so he might just be

feeling a little under the weather. But little dude is out in left field

We had coconut issues but healing the gut mostly resolved them. Of note about

coconut- the flaked coconut, even organic flaked, uses a chemical in processing

that many people (us included) react to. So it should probably be off the

grocery list for evermore. Also, most packaged coconut milks have Vitamin A

Palmitate which many react to because of how it is sourced or something, I

forget. . . We drink So Delicious (does have the Vit A palmitate) but if Mia

gets too much (3 glasses a day or so), she starts into sensory seeking and

stimming.

Inner Eco Young Coconut Kefir is an EXCELLENT product that is as far as we know

and our experience tells, very safe and does not have any issues of stealth

ingredients. We have our local small health food market and/or our Whole Foods

order it. Their website also lists stores so you can see if it is already

available nearby.

We are on a maintenance dose of 1 TBSP a day in a shake made of raw tahini, rice

syrup, coconut oil, glutamine powder (also 1 TBSP) and coconut milk. This is

'breakfast'. I think 1 TBSP has 'trillions' of beneficial organisims?

I am trying to bring myself around to making this on my own soon. Fingers

crossed. Although cost wise, I am not sure yet it will be much of a savings. The

Body Ecology diet describes how to make fresh young coconut kefir.

Also, you were talking about B vitamin deficiencies- the HPU/KPU thread s and

research talk about B6 deficiency (along with zinc and manganese). Maybe this

would be of interest for you?

,What was amazing to me was that so much of what is working for us fits into Klinghardt. We have just started with the high dose B6, so we want to get another OAT before we move onto more stuff. And due to the oxidative stress, I do want to keep my kids on a slower paced protocol, and start to remove things before I add things... but I am very interested in going deeper into Klinghardt!

I make my own young coconut kefir. Sometimes the young coconuts are easy to get - sometimes they're not around for a while. I like having something else available when I don't have the coconuts or get lazy and run out.

Tom has always been a big responder to b6. I've recently started giving it to my little guy, too. Less calls from school....let's keep our fingers crossed.

Toni,

It is the same for us. It is like reading the Klinghardt protocol is going

over most of the top 10 list of what has worked for us, out of the swarms of

things we've done over the years.

What dose of B6 are you using for what weight?

We also are starting at a slow pace until I can get through more research. So

far upping B6 is helping considerably. Mia is still going through

episodes/aggression/self injury/meltdowns, but she can actually pull herself out

of it when I talk reason to her, hold her, and give her time.

We did add zinc in, with good effect so far, but only at 30mg/day. I think

this is lower than Klinghardt would recommend? I need to get on to addressing

oxidative stress more aggressively. Hopefully this weekend. We did add back in

more cleansing/detox agents- chlorella an hour after dinner, activated charcoal

an hour after that, bentonite clay internally at mid afternoon. These all seem

to help a lot.

Well, my son has seizure activity so he might require more than some people??We are doing 250mg B6 in the am. I didn't this morning, I think we just did 100mg, 50 of it being slow release. Here's a link to the website I just started, it is nowhere near complete so use at your own risk LOL
