Kate, just tell her that even MY kids, the most independenton the planet, let me take them to the ER over this kind ofthing. Lia truly needs to be taken to the ER. . NOW!It will be even more than "icky" if she goes to sleep tonightand starts to bleed in her sleep!Tell her that your friend, n, mom of 4 adult childrenand grandmother to many, says to get to that ER NOW!Love in heaps,nFrom: "katelloydkidz@..."

My 18 year old, Lia works Sats. in a local deli. She was using the meat slicer when...yup.. .ugh, she cut a chunk of skin off! I'm someone who doesNOT do well with icky stuff, so I'm trying to be bravefor her, but she is being VERY stubborn and notletting me take her to the ER. It is taking a long timeto stop bleeding. We are applying pressure, and shehas it raised above her heart. I ran out to CVS andbought gauze and tape and we have it wrappedreal tight. I have been feeling nauseous and dizzynow for about a half hour. I don't want to make thisabout me, 'cause it is her I'm worried about, I'mjust concerned that I'm going to pass out about it.Even thinking about it makes me woozy.I'm worried about her, but she's digging her heelsand refusing to go.love and blessings,Kate
