Guest guest
Hi WTO-ers, I just picked this up in a Yahoo article (link below): " An important step in building a new life is getting psychological help to cope with her notoriety, severed family ties and newfound freedom, said attorneys with clients in similar circumstances. " http://news.yahoo.com/now-free-casey-anthony-avoiding-public-eye-081757315.html Granted, this is not a direct quote from Casey or her lawyer Baez, but Casey has refused all contact with her parents since the verdict. I'm no psychiatrist, but exhibits borderline behaviors (including a 2009 suicide attempt that he thoughtfully texted to every family member so he was sure to be rescued!) Cindy sure acts like the " dishrag enabler " to me. Is it possible that Casey has gone NC? Just askin;... AFB
Guest guest
You know, I watched a news show just before the trial started. I was itching to talk with someone else about what I was thinking about her parents, but didn't bring it up here. But, since you have . . . I'll jump in . . . Cindy 's interview just creeped me out. She seemed like she's living in la-la land. I was actually thinking BPD/NPD when listening to her strange retelling of events, like it was what she wanted to believe. Appearances seem most important to her. Mr. struck me more as the Dishrag. But that's just one interview. No matter what, that is one unhealthy family and so tragic for a sweet baby girl. > > Hi WTO-ers, > I just picked this up in a Yahoo article (link below): > > " An important step in building a new life is getting psychological help to cope with her notoriety, severed family ties and newfound freedom, said attorneys with clients in similar circumstances. Guest guest
Hey Echobabe, I find the family as fascinating. Every single player lies, lies and lies some more. When they're not lying for themselves, they're lying for each other. Cindy perjured herself on the stand, by swearing it was she who did the search for " chloroform " on the family computer. She committed perjury when it was shown in court that she was at work, performing another task when the family computer was used for that search. Busted! I find the family fascinating, not because I enjoy watching pain and agony, but to look at another family, with similarities to my own, work out their lies and deceptions under the long arm of the law. Like little Caylee, I almost drowned in a pool at age 3. Unlike Caylee, I survived, but I could easily have ended up a statistic like her. When I see Cindy and act out their behaviors in court and in front of cameras, I have a lot more sympathy for Casey. Her world was a very skewed, crazy place growing up, where the truth was avoided at all costs. I'm so happy for her that she's NC, and I hope her lawyers will do one last favor and place her with a very good therapist who can help her mind find its way back to sanity. If not, we'll be seeing her on TV again sooner or later. What I'd love to hear from others on this board is if they " recognize " any of the behaviors of the family in their own family. I'd love to hear " amateur diagnoses " on what PDs are on display here. Guest guest
I watched the trial daily.....almost obsessed by it. I recognized the " family secrets " and was sickened by it because my family had so many secrets. There were so many similarities; control, lies, pain. I often wonder ho w I survived it. I still wonder if I'll ever completely heal from it. Laurie In a message dated 7/19/2011 9:33:24 A.M.
