cool ideas for dinner tonight?

Hi KateIt's 3:48 pm here so with the time difference you have probably already figured out your dinner. It's so hot here and all we want to eat is SALAD! Last night we had taco salad and it was so good (and cool!). All we had to cook for it was the hamburger. Tonight we are having chicken salad. The chicken will have to be cooked of course but that won't require hovering over the hot stove. So it will be lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers and whatever else we decide to throw in there. I made some nice cool buttermilk ranch dressing to go over it. What did you decide on? SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. wonderful. My 14 year old daughter does the cooking. I hate

cooking. She made hamburgers and perogies. Very good. We had

a long hot day. We went grocery shopping in the am. Then my oldest

daughter and I went to the barn to get her horse ready for a show

tomorrow. I’m beat.

My computer gave me troubles yesterday so Icouldn't write anyone back til today. Some replieswent through, but then my email wouldn't let meeven write them!We wound up having cheeseburgers on the grill.Your taco salad sounds great; do you mind sharinghow you put it together? Taco SaladI use taco flavored tortilla chips. Some of us crush them and others like them whole. Brown hamburger with pepper, salt and garlic powderIceberg lettuce, choppeddiced tomatoesgreen salad olivessome kind of good salsa (we make our own but you can buy it)Grated cheddar cheeseEach person makes their own plate. I put a layer of crushed chips on the plate, a pile of lettuce, hamburger sprinkled over, cheese sprinkled on, salsa, tomatoes, green olives and a layer of crushed chips on top. Different parts of the country have different products that's for sure. You can use any flavored chips probably. I think Doritos have some flavors that would probably be good.
