Guest guest
I think we've got a significant parasite problem in our house so I bought humaworm, hoping I could open the caps in something since my little guy can't swallow them yet. But they taste HORRIBLE. I can't imagine anything that would mask that nasty flavor. I see lots of people on this board use it. Are all your kids just able to swallow the caps? Guest guest
I wrap them in sugarfree taffy. He swallows most pills now but these are particularly strong and disagreeable. At least they are very small.Sent from my iPhone I think we've got a significant parasite problem in our house so I bought humaworm, hoping I could open the caps in something since my little guy can't swallow them yet. Guest guest
Hi , does your son chew the taffy with the capsule in it? Does the taffy somehow mask the taste??? Guest guest
The taffy covers the candy enough that it usually just slides down with the capsule intact he rarely chews it up that completely. Our best brands of taffy are sugarfree but do have dyes:Go lightly fruit chews & crystal light fruit chews. Both at amazon or diabetic friendly.comSent from my iPhone Hi , does your son chew the taffy with the capsule in it? Guest guest
We have mixed nasty supp's in Lundberg organic rice syrup- very sweet and nonreactive. Also, we've had the girls chew up a marshmallow until it is ready to swallow- then I pop the pill on top and tell them to swallow. Can't taste it through the marshmallow. Most marshmallows have dye in them, though, not something I would do now but we did when we were desperate to get Mia to take big meds/supps early on. Maple syrup is also good to mix the contents in- sweet and stronger to mask the flavor- but it has sulfites (or sulfates, which is it, I forget?), so Mia reacted slightly to it. Not so much with the small amount for pills, as with larger amounts for gfcf pancakes. > > > I think we've got a significant parasite problem in our house so I bought humaworm, hoping I could open the caps in something since my little guy can't swallow them yet.
