My neuro told me that one of her other patients with MS who is wheelchair bound has been taking the drug and is to the point of standing and taking a few steps. So who knows, maybe it will work but you don't know until you try. I don't have too many issues walking but if it can stop me from running into things or tripping across the floor, that's one symptom I'm rid of. I personally hope it does more than help with walking because it's supposed to increase nerve function. So we'll see. I'm wondering if anyone in our group has tried Ampyra? It should help me with walking says my doc. I've read lots about it, and it helps some but not all. I will be trying it out soon, but I'm told it could take 2-3 mo. before I know if it helps.
