Guest guest
We went to our ND last week for the second time and she gave my son some black walnut tincture and some HMF Natogen formula. Just to give you a little background my son is 3y3 months, and he only had a severe expressive speech delay diagnosis. We started GFCFSF in November and he now tests at a 3yo level for expressive language, a little younger for comprehension. He got tested for IgG with great plains lab in January.( We could only get a DAN apt in September 2012 so in the mean time I decided to see a ND because our pedi was giving us a hard time about ordering tests and things...) So, we eliminated all the food items that were moderates and highs from his diet and he is doing pretty good. We have our ups and downs...but mostly I am very happy with his progres. Anyways, to get back to my questions. He is highly sensitive to all dairy products and HMF Natogen has dairy in it, secondly he tested very sensitive to walnuts also... When I talked to our ND about it she explained that the tincture shouldn't contain any walnut proteins in it therefore it should be fine with him. I still don't want to take a chance, what do you think ? He is already taking daily GSE for yeast ( he tested very high for it ) and I have seen some positive changes in him since we started it but I am not sure that the dose I am giving him is enough. He weighs 37 lbs and I give him 60 mg of nutribiotic every day. There are many others natural ways to treat yeast right ? GSE and black walnut aren't my only options ? She understands that I refuse to give my son the HMF Natogen. I bought 2 tubs ( 72 $ )of it and she won't take it back because it's supposed to be refrigerated and I guess there is no way for her to know if I did or not. I feel pretty crummy about this, I don't want to be difficult but hey I am working so hard on all of this... I feel like I can't really trust her.... What should I do ?
