Guest guest
Two paramedics and another man are in the hospital after a collision sends an ambulance up in flames. Authorities say it happened just before 6 Sunday evening at the intersection of Mirror and N. 7th in Amarillo. We are told the ambulance was responding to a call when, eye witnesses say, the driver of the truck was driving erratically and slammed into the ambulance, causing the ambulance to clip a pole and catch fire. The intersection and part of Mirror St. were closed off for more than two hours as authorities investigated the accident. The conditions of the three victims are not known at this time and authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
