Hi everyone,

Finally some positives are happening with my son after starting curcumin

capsules and I wanted to share with everyone. Either it is the antioxidant

action or anti-inflammatory or antifungal, but my son is getting some of his

spontaneous speech back which he had lost after appendectomy this year. His eye

contact is better and he seems more aware of his surroundings. Therapists have

noticed an improvement too. I attribute it to curcumin although another factor

could be that his allergies are better these days. But all the positive changes

started after starting curcumin. If any of you are looking for an

antioxidant/antiinflammatory agent, I suggest go for curcumin. The one I used is

by brand Nutrivene and is called Longvida curcumin. We have also started my son

on nystatin and now he is having early awakenings which I am wondering could be

die off?? But so far his behavior overall has improved.

Hi Mhel,

Thanks! You can start with 500 mg daily and then once your child is tolerating

it, you can increase the dose to 500 mg twice a day. It took me three weeks

before I increased the dose. Good luck.

Hi, Sometimes company will say "may contain soyor corn" because sometimes, they share facility withsomeone using this stuff. is saw improvementwith his kid, in the 3rd or 4th day which is so awesome. For me, it's a risk right now to just change the brand. These kids are peculiar people. If it still doing wonder, don't change. If you see "plateau", then probably thisis the time to change brand. For me, I'm just introducingthis so I still have the privilege to choose. I just don'twant to disrupt something wonderful that is happening. But this is my question to everyone: CAN I USE CUCURMINWITH THE VALTREX/KETOCONAZOLE PROTOCOL? ORIS IT'S BETTER TO FINISH THE 50 DAY CHALLENGEWITH THIS PROTOCOL? I NEED YOUR ADVICE. I had always thought that Enhansa was somehow "specially" made so that it doesn't "degrade" while it's being consumed. (I don't know for sure and we aren't using Enhansa right now because of the price, so I don't really have any basis for comparison aside from what I read on the product info for Enhansa). Or is it just a marketing thing?

You can just buy organic turmeric and empty capsules from swanson and make your own. (empty capsules come in many different sizes so you can tailor your dose). That way all you're getting is the turmeric and no additives. I buy it that way. I cook with it ALOT. sneak it in everything I can. Why pay all that $$ for them to put it in a capsule for you when most ppl have to empty the capsule anyhow???

Hi Mhel,

I have also started nystatin 9 days ago but he was already on curcumin. So far

seems like he is having die off form nystatin. Not sure about the

ketoconazole/valtrex protocol.

Thats a great news. Will be glad if you could answer few of my questions.- The brand of curcumin that you are using (for strength purpose)?- Age and weight of your son (to calculate dose per body weight used for administration).

- If you have thought of hepatotoxicity and the dose and/or duration that could cause hepatotoxicity? The last question comes from my research for use of curcumin for my own ulcerative colitis (also inflammation disorder). I am a member of another board for ulcerative colitis (UC) and many UCers take curcumin. When I searched Pubmed, I found only one Japanese study that was inconclusive (for UC). I discussed this with my gastroenterologist, his concern was more for heptotoxicity than the usefulness, hence I decided to back off from it. If I have to use it for my 3 year old (30lb) son, I would like to research more..

I have no intention to scare off anyone but to get more information if anyone else has also tried with no/little success and/or any toxic side effects. Thanks in advance.
