Guest guest
I want to let every one know that and Dudley along with the other folks in the RMOC (I hope that's right) did an outstanding job. Over the course of the last four days they saved my (Calhoun Counties) bacon multiple times. We were able to get ambulance resources in amazing time frames. GOOD JOB FELLAS I have to admit that I did not pay attention to terms like RMOC or DDC because it appeared to me that hospitals were involved with those terms. However, it became evident that they apply to and force local EMS, hospitals and Emergency Management folks to get together and on the same page when resources are needed. Thanks for the real time education and all of the help you guys provided. I don't care what time of day or night over the last four days I called, I was able to speak directly with Dudley. I don't think he slept a minute in the last four days. Everybody give these guys a pat on the back. Someday you may need them. Guest guest
I would also like to say one more thing about this issue. The strike teams that responded to our needs were wonderful. Everyone was respectful and professional. The team leaders we knowledgeable and more than willing to assist us in getting the resources we needed. If we request that they get back with us on transport locations and contact information we saw immediate action. We in turn fed and housed the teams at the hospital until they were needed and assigned a patient. At all times they were respectful and interacted with the hospital personnel well. The hospital on many occasions complemented these men and women to me. On one occasion they were given the opportunity to hang with us at the courthouse and eat jail food or go back to the hospital. They gave me a group hug and went back to the hospital. They liked the food better. We also made sure that their units were fueled up upon arrival at our location. I don't know if that was expected or not but we felt obligated to do this in return for the great service they provided to us. We have Texas EMS providers here along with folks from California and other states. I guess EMS is EMS wherever you are from. If any of the Strike teams are on this list or if any of you can forward to folks that served on a Strike team, please pass this on. Guest guest
I'm glad the hospital food scores higher than the jail food! Louis N. Molino, Sr. FF/NREMT-B/FSI/EMSI LNMolino@... Guest guest
Henry, I am glad that you and yours are well. I was very worried about you. Also, I am in no way surprised that Texas showed the rest of the world how to do disaster. Thanks to Dudley and everybody else who rose to the occasion and made things work, as Texans always do. Even though I'm safe and dry here in the desert, and the worst thing we have to deal with is the flash floods that accompany the monsoon rains (yes, we do have rain in AZ) and the idiots that drive into flooded washes, I still appreciate the great system that Texas has and all those who make it the greatest system in the country. Glad you're well, and I'll see you all at the Conference. Gene Gandy ************** Psssst...Have you heard the news?
