Guest guest
This is from The Arizona Republic newspaper. I get my insurance from the State of Arizona as a retired employee of the state. I don't know yet just how much my insurance will increase but it says people will pay up to 37% more for insurance. Figures provided by the Arizona Department of Administration show that health plans for families and single adults with children will shoulder the most-expensive monthly premium increases beginning Jan. 1, while individuals will pay modest increases. The Department of Administration cited federal health reform as the reason the state's health plans will carry "greater expenses and higher premiums for members," according to a June 30 letter sent to about 135,000 state and university employees and their dependents. The letter named two provisions that the state expects will drive health-insurance costs higher. One is a requirement that insurance plans provide coverage for dependent children up to age 26. The other is the federal legislation's ban on lifetime limits, an insurance-industry practice that cuts coverage once an individual's medical expenses exceed a set amount over their lifetime. Guest guest
Obama shoving the health care through just means less medical care or not much better than witch doctors and unneccessary medical tests - and we still get screwed out of fees for medical we don't use what I paid for the homeopath - who won't kill me - and my herbs and vitamins are not reimbursed - given the fact that I am allergic to 98% of the RX and of the one or two I can take - guess what medicare will only pay for generics and I have proven that I am seriously allergic to the generics To: MSersLife Sent: Wed, July 21, 2010 3:01:48 PMSubject: Re: AZ State tells employees health insurance will rocket I saw this on the news this morning! Guest guest
This is just plain crazy. It really irks me that people can come over from other countries and get everything free and they are NOT us citizens! Then when a person born here needs help you can't get it. I am not against people coming from other countries BUT you learn the English language and become a citizen. I better not get started. I am so sorry to hear this Sharon. You are in my prayers. Guest guest
Our state is is dire financial straights and the state is doing what it must do. Among other things the state has had to close state parks, close rest stops, cut some health programs, lay off teachers, lay off state workers, put state workers on forced furloughs.... Then with the economy so bad the tax base is not up where it should be. Surely it will improve! SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. It's not good and everyone will pay in one way or another for it. Did you read the article, Amy? The costs have to go up because of the new rules that are coming in regarding healthcare (covering adult children for example). Because of the new rules healthcare will cost more. I know you have been negatively affected by the changes as well so I thought you would be interested. The State of Arizona is nearly bankrupt after some unwise spending in the last ten years or so and simply cannot afford to subsidize our health care more than it already does, unfortunately.
