Guest guest
what a gorgeous painting! I really love your work!Visit the Practical Homeschooling blog! [Attachment(s) from Donna included below] Here's another new painting. As many of you know I am a member of one of a watercolor group on Yahoo groups. I have been a member of that group for 2 years this month. Each month one of the moderators hosts a challenge/project with varying themes. This month, the theme is Analogous Colors. The moderator creates to file folders for each monthly project, one file contains a photo for all members to paint from, the other file is for the members to paint what they want as long as it fits the theme. Sometimes it is a specific subject, such as baby animals, or in this case, it is a specific color scheme. I've already shared a copy of Mt. Rainier which fits the analogous theme since I used blue, blue-green, and green, with just a tiny touch of yellow. For the all paint from one photo part of the monthly challenge, the moderator who is hosting this project submitted a painting that she did years ago. The colors that she used were blue-violet, blue, and blue-green. In my adaptation of her painting, I chose to use yellow, yellow-orange, and orange. Besides the colors, I did make a few other changes; but, basically, it is the same. I'm tired of the cold and snow. We have had snow on the ground since the second week of November. And, we are going to get more. Donna in WA
