Guest guest
I just realized that one of nada's favorite songs growing up was " Borderline " by Madonna. Hilarious. Perhaps it's weird that I find it funny, but if I don't laugh about this stuff, I'll cry. Any funny things come up for you as a grown up? Guest guest
You nkow, my nada always tended to like these really deep, sad, sensitive songs, but she sang along to them like they were happy songs. She had no idea what these really sad, heartwrenching songs were about. To me that was always ironic. And it made me sad for her. > > I just realized that one of nada's favorite songs growing up was " Borderline " by Madonna. Guest guest
My nada started headbanging when she drove me places like music lessons between age 14 and 16 or 17, before I could drive myself. And it continued when I had to go places with her. SHe would just totally do like a hair band rock out thing while driving - obese woman in the most conservative area in all of the western U.S> with bright reddish pink spikey hair headbanging down the road. AHHHHHH so embarassing!!! It doesn't make me laugh even now. I was totally speachless at the time - I was pretty sure she was doing it intentionally to embarass me. > ** > > > You nkow, my nada always tended to like these really deep, sad, sensitive > songs, but she sang along to them like they were happy songs. Guest guest
Oh, I hope that becomes funny for you someday because it seems comical to me as someone on the outside. And yes, horribly embarassing to the teenager on the inside. > > > > > > I just realized that one of nada's favorite songs growing up was " B > > nadorderline " by Madonna. Guest guest
Mine liked the deep sad songs too. I always just found them annoying. > > > > I just realized that one of nada's favorite songs growing up was " Borderline " by Madonna. Guest guest
I'm kinda more like at the head shake stage than the laughing stage over the head banging. Honestly I think still have the exact same reaction I did at the time she was doing it, kind of like this is certainly an interesting behavior. I wonder what deep seated mental illness is causing her to choose to do this. My best option is to ignore it.
