Guest guest
Sorry about the panic attacks. I've lived with them most of my life to the point of being housebound agoraphobic for several years. It wasn't until I agreed to give an antidepressant a try that I could finally get a handle on them. Once in a while I'll get a feeling of derealization or depersonalization and know I have to get a hold on it. Ironic I recall saying I'd rather have a "real" as in visible disorder. Guess forgot to watch out for what I was wishing! Anyway I can definitely emphasize with what you're going through and I hope they stop. I can't recall if you're taking an antidpressant or not? ... hugs, Cait I went and looked up this super fanatical group. It seems that more than a couple states have enacted the same type laws. I'm glad your guys moved as quickly as they did. I also read that other places, when they heard this group was going to arrive, grouped together and surrounded them thus shielding the families from the crass, rudeness. I'm afraid that had they shown up at Bud's funeral, for any reason.. I don't think they'd have been going back to Westboro.. at least not walking.. and I really doubt they'd have been doing any talking either. At this point in time I'm afraid to read a news article online, or turn on the television and I really think we need to revive the Anne Murray hit.. "A Little Good News Today".. I was awake at around 4:30 this morning, and had to come take a half a Xanax, because I woke up with a Panic Attack.. Hope you're staying warm out there Sharon.. and that things stay calm.. But then again.. HUGS|)onna Arizona State legislature is blocking Westboro Baptist Church! I'm sure most/all of you have heard about the terrible shootings in Tucson where Congresswoman Giffords was shot and 6 were killed by a deranged gunman? Yesterday we heard that the Westboro Baptist Church was planning to 'picket' at the funerals. Arizona is incensed! For those of you who don't know about the so-called church they come to the funerals of fallen soldiers and stand outside yelling horrible stuff like "God hates you", "God is glad you are dead"...etc. They also went to funeral. Anyway today the Arizona State Legislature passed an emergency bill providing a "Funeral Protection Zone". Governor Brewer immediately signed it into law! http://www.azcentral.com/news/election/azelections/articles/2011/01/11/20110111arizona-shootings-funeral-bill-passes.html SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Cait,Thanks for your reply, and empathy. Mine started back in '98, during the last stages of my mother's illness. I'd have one every time the telephone rang. After my mother passed, there weren't many that I recall. There have been reasons for most of them over the years, but in the past year, I guess there are still reasons, but they aren't reasons that "should" be reasons. Again, this morning, at 5 a.m..I am taking Wellbutrin, 150mg per day, but thinking that the dosage on that might need to be increased. And I too, sure hope they stop soon.. Guest guest
Hi l)onna,I too am on Wellbutrin(150), and think it needs to be reevaluated by a psychiatrist, not just my PCP. Additionally, I'm on Abilify, which is supposed to enhance the antidepressant. That might be something to consider, though this is just my non-professional, humble opinion. Take care of yourself.love, KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Thu, January 13, 2011 9:40:50 AMSubject: Re: Donna Cait,Thanks for your reply, and empathy. Guest guest
Kate, That's what I'm wondering.. My very first neurologist, put me on Effexor even before I started on the Avonex.. and she wasn't afraid or concerned when I needed a higher dose to keep me on the "even" keel.. Don't think my PCP would be insisting that I see a psychiatrist to up the dose either.. Just not sure how my current neurologist wants to handle it.. He won't prescribe the Xanax for the panic attacks though, so increasing the Wellbutrin may or may not be a problem for him.. guess I'll find out though.. I don't currently have an active psychiatrist or psychologist.. Did have before the MS Dx, but then he was treating for Chronic Depression.. Don't know where I'd go for one right now, though the best of them would be at Western Psych, a branch off of Presby where my neurologist is.. But if I go there, I'd be working with the same people I worked with, when I was employed at RPS.. might be a little bit uncomfortable.. I guess I'll just be playing the wait and see game for a bit.. The panic attacks have stopped and hopefully they will stay gone.. at least for awhile..
