Akiba brings up something that confuzzles me. Are we supposed to have an overactive immune system? If so how are all the supplements, etc. affecting it. Maybe a question for Tom ... hugs, Cait

another storm!

Hi there!Well, we are facing yet another storm--this is our 3rd since Christmas. It is supposed to start tonight (Tues) and be quite heavy. It will continue snowing until sometime tomorrow evening. We are supposed to get anywhere from 8 to 12 inches or more. That's a lot for us. Schools will undoubtedly be closed tomorrow. My son has a hockey game that will also get canceled. My husband, who NEVER gets sick--maybe once or twice in 23 yrs, is pretty sick. I think he has bronchitis or pneumonia. Will he go to the doctor? NO. He has gone to a doctor only twice. He is being stubborn and I think he's plain stupid! Hopefully whatever it is, is not contagious. I don't want to join him...but of course, if I come down with something, I'll be sure to get to a doc. Hope everyone is staying safe and warm!love to all,Kate

'tis more fragile than over active - the supplements are easier to absorb and help a lot God, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there.

We do have an overactive immune system with MS. That's why we aren't supposed to take certain immune boosting supplements. Someone posted yesterday (I think) that we don't get a lot of contagious illnesses but when we do we often get sicker than non-MSers. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Doing well, I DO wish I had a washer/dryer, though, since the kitten has decided to "grace" my bed 2-3x a week. Washing sheets by hand gets hard, drying them even harder.

Where IS the nearest washer/dryer? Have you ever put kitty's food on the bed. Supposedly, they won't 'go' there if their food is there. Just a pet doctor's advice--Warren Eckstein, he's on the radio.Hope it resolves soon! To: MSersLife Sent: Thu, January 13, 2011 4:20:26 PMSubject: Re: another storm! Question & Tom

Aside from Rob's mom and sis having washer/dryers (which I can't use but Rob can) the closest laundromat is in Crescent City, about 15 miles from here. It would cost me $25 for the taxi and whatever the washers and dryers cost. Too rich for my wallet. So I hand wash, one sheet a day (I use 2 sheets on my bed). It gets old. Never tried the food thing, how do I put food one ht bed and still sleep on it without spilling the food?

Put the food on during the day, while you are awake. Just a thought. Let me know if it works!, that is , if you try it.love, KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Thu, January 13, 2011 4:42:15 PMSubject: Re: another storm! Question & Tom

That might work except that Robbin "lounges" on it during the day when he wants to watch TV. I'll try and think of something (other then making kitty an inside/outside kitty)
