Guest guest
I would wager that most of us have had some MS memory stuff going on--some funny and some not so funny. I *think* my memory issues are better now but I can't be positive. When people insist they told me something.. well how can I argue that they really didn't? I came up against that one recently with my 38 year old son. He insists he told me about something important and I have zero memory of it. Geez. One time I hit a truck and didn't remember it at all. Not only did I hit it but I left the scene. The owner of that truck confronted me several weeks later when he saw his unusual paint color on my fender. I was adamant that I did NOT hit his truck! When I told my daughter about it she laughed until she realized I seriously did not remember it. Then she told me I had told her about it after it happened. I have to believe her but I still have absolutely no memory of it. That was in 2002. It was a few months later I rolled my van and nearly died. I broke my neck, my scalp was torn off my head, head injury, I had broken ribs...collapsed lung... etc. I floated with death for a few days. I am so thankful for my life! When I think of all I would have missed out on if I had died that day.... an adventure living in Alaska, a new granddaughter and being with all of my 8 grandkids. Whew!My memory issues are related to cognitive dysfunction. I get a spacey feeling and can't concentrate. Because of that I no longer drive. I hate the loss of independence but I would hate even more if I killed someone on the roadways, you know? Well that was a big fat downer, wasn't it? Sorry folks!hugsSharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
when someone blows me off or treats me like the village idiot - not just a mere woman well my heart sisters smile - they know I will remember chapter and verse - perfectly when something triggers I can follow it - my problem is remembering later To: MSersLife Sent: Sat, July 24, 2010 12:27:29 PMSubject: MS memory issues and cognitive dysfunction I would wager that most of us have had some MS memory stuff going on--some funny and some not so funny. Guest guest
has some of that, too. She has had for years. But the good thing about the MS dx is that now at least we know the cause. It can be scary enough to have things vanish from the memory when you know why, but when it's without explanation it's even scarier. love/Reb>> I would wager that most of us have had some MS memory stuff going on--some funny > and some not so funny.
