Here is my favorite guiding quote I found recently that I am trying to really

take to heart and live in action nowadays!! (Ok, so I still fail in it as you

sometimes see, but I am taking on the practice.)

How can I light a fire, spark a flame, kindle and feed the delicate fingers of

it, blow oxygen across the growing coals, stir them and build them, add fuel to

make them grow, grow, grow, to something warm and sustaining and life giving- in

those dark and dusty places, when I encounter them- in family, friend, foe??? In

the dark and dusty parts of myself???

Pardon my dreamy words. It's a tough and frustrating subject. Might as well get

all philosophical/spiritual about it!

"like" I am often very surprised by those who will listen and those who will not.I can't tell you how many times I've heard "Oh, that sounds WAY too hard."What?!?!?! There are plenty of people in the world who can show you what "hard" REALLY is....This pales in comparison. That attitude is part of the problem that got us "here" in the first place. Anyhow, I've have taken the approach that it is my obligation to inform. That is all I can do.What they do with the information I provide is their business. That is the philosophy that keeps me sane. My mom, who

has always rolled her eyes at me and my sister when we discuss the MMR, suddenly took heed when a total stranger she met in line began discussing the vaccine with her and the damage it caused her grandson. Go figure. We "get it" when we WANT to "get it"Most often it's just convenient to believe what we believe and that's probably WHY we believe what we believe.....

Tammy,That shit pisses me off... same deal in my family... complete strangers sway your family members when YOU are just full of it.I hope I sway a stranger someday, but they will likely ignore me too. LOLOh well, I got my own kids to heal! :-) I'm glad we all here have crossed paths. :-)
