Guest guest
I reported before that I have a hard time advocating for myself due to being an adult survivor of a likely BPD mother. When ever I was sick or injured, I was " lying " " faking " etc. To the point I was hospitalized for dehydration because she thought I was faking. So I get " white coat syndrome " when I go to see a health care provider. And I don't advocate for myself because I'm too scared, etc. Well today I saw a new nurse practitioner. She listened. She thought it was really odd that no one has done a hip x-ray since I've been complaining of right hip pain for 7 months that's been continuously filed in the " fibromyalgia " pile. She also looked at me like I had 3 heads when I told her about last week's appointment for left knee numbness & the doc & nurse practitioner telling me to return if it was still like that in 3 - 4 weeks and telling me, " It's normal. You have fibromyalgia " . There's that word again... that word I'm not so sure about. And neither is the new nurse practitioner. And no I am NOT making any of this up, I was told that knee numbness is " normal " and to " come back in 3 - 4 weeks if it persists " . First step - had x-rays of hip & knee. If those are normal, she wants to send me to a neurologist. Finally. SOMEONE IS HEARING ME. Having records sent from his office to the new office. Happily checked the box that said " transfer of care " .... To my former physician - you sir are FIRED. Mia
