Guest guest
here, my mum has BPD and is currently at home violently ill (stomach bug grossness) and its the third time in the last few months that she has been like this. She also suffers from high blood pressure, hyperventilation syndrome and ongoing lower back pains since she was in her twenties (shes now 50). She also easily gains weight, especially when she is having ongoing depressed moods. I know that stress can give you physical illness, as i have suffered from depression with all these BPD dramas. I have migrains, physical aches, ongoing fatigue and panick attacks. I know that when i get my mind under control and avoid negative thoughts my body heals pretty well. Does this also apply to people with BPD? Does anyone have similar circumstances with their BP parent?
Guest guest
Yes, my nada suffers panic attacks, high BP, she makes her own cholesterol. She's flirted with both alcohol and food addiction (never quite meeting the criteria for addiction) and given herself diabetes. I am sure I have forgotten 90% of it. Her fear, and twisting to cover up for herself, the manipulations. All that took energy and created stress. She can run from her condition, but she cannot hide from the stress it creates. > > here, my mum has BPD and is currently at home violently ill (stomach bug grossness) and its the third time in the last few months that she has been like this. Guest guest
is your mom on any meds? My nada did all kinds of bizaro things with her health (think diet coke and tootsie rolls 3 meals a day for years on end, taking the dog's expired anti-biotics and taking allergy shots from like age 40 to age 65). But the meds the docs put her on to treat her misdiagnosis also played a roll. for instance she would swell up when on prednizone for extended periods and had major weight flux that I also suspect was drug related. Very complicated issue. > ** > > > Yes, my nada suffers panic attacks, high BP, she makes her own cholesterol. > She's flirted with both alcohol and food addiction (never quite meeting the > criteria for addiction) and given herself diabetes. > > I am sure I have forgotten 90% of it.
