, my neurologist says that any trauma--and surgery isa trauma to the body--can trigger an exacerbation or flare.Love, to you and to your husband, ,nTo: MSersLife Sent: Mon, July 26, 2010 5:07:10 PMSubject: After

surgery...

Since hubby

just had neck surgery on Friday I was wondering. Can surgery cause an exacerbation?

He just had the five day IV steroids in the beginning of July. I mean so

he really wasn’t fully recovered from that. http://countermanfa milynews. blogspot. com/

n,

            That

is what I was thinking.  I asked him if he wanted me to move his appt. with the

neuro up but he said no.  It’s next Friday.  Can they start you on meds, like

Avonox, during a flare?

n,

            Thanks.

Will do.  Next week is his visit with the Neurologist.  I wanted to get him in

this week but he said he would wait.
