Guest guest
Hi, I've been away on my annual SE Asia jaunt. I'm now in Taipei, Taiwan, waiting for a connecting flight to SFO. I used my Luggie Scooter on this trip and it was a lifesaver. I wouldn't travel again without it. The heat really made my legs into dead weight. So, the scooter was essential. I'll post photos of me and the scooter when I'm back. I'll also recount some acts of kindness by strangers on the trip. For example, in Chiang Mai, Thailand, a young lady on a motorcycle got off her cycle and stopped traffic so I could cross the street with my Luggie. One kid in Pattaya, who spoke very clear English, said of the scooter: "That's the coolest thing I've ever seen!" And, disabled person in Thai (spelled phonetically) is "cone pee-gaan."Dan U dao_nguu@...

Guest guest
Wow, Dan! Traveling again. That's awesome. I never heard of a 'Luggie'; interested in seeing it. They were able to put it on the plane somewhere? Like in the front, where they might put a wheelchair? I forget, are you fluent in Thai? I'm also curious, what first turned you on to their culture? Do you have roots there? Can't wait to see pics!hugs and welcome home!KateTo: mserslife Sent: Sun, January 16, 2011 5:02:34 AMSubject: RE: Dan.......Re: just checking on some folks....DAN, TRACY, MARION Hi, I've been away on my annual SE Asia jaunt.
