Guest guest
We had loaded the patient were pulling out of the pasture that he was in when the doctor said " I am the ER doctor and you will airlift that patient " I responded that he is not critical and he responded that I could not see whether he has internal injuries airlift him. And the ER nurse in the background shouted they (meaning us) want let her call for a helicopter. If we don't call they get their panties in a wad but I was thinking the same thing, just don't call next time. Guest guest
Debbie, Sometimes you just have to do what you think is right and fight the battle afterwards. This same thing happens all over Texas. If they refuse transport to the Level III in . You will not get static from them. Sometimes being in charge means you will have to back up your decisions later. Remember, you are not calling the ER to ask their permission, you are calling to give them an update of what you are bringing them. However, if you do call and ask what they think then you should be prepared to follow the advice you are given. Keep at it Henry > I have a > scenario for you guys> > Respond to a call were > someone has been hit in the > head by a tire.
