The reference to ventilation brought this question to mind: What guidelines do

various departments have in place for oxygen administration? I ask because I

still occasionally encounter EMS personnel who seem to think that anyone who

needs oxygen atuomatically gets high flow via a nonrebreather. By my way of

thinking, this is not only an outdated way of thinking, but in some cases a

harmful way of thinking.
