He has been tested for this in the past but it has come back negative.

Last week my son had tonsilitis and a private Dr said he should have his tonsils

out as my sons glands are big. I think its strep throat that he has because my

sons throat is always red, he always has sore throats and when he gets this he

acts very strange, looking out of the side of his eyes, very repetitive in his

behavior etc

Im very worried about putting my 4.5yr old through surgery, eg concerns of him

being alergic to anaesthetic, so so worried, does anyone know if I can test to

see if my son can be alergic to this?

The Dr has left it with us to see if we think our son should have his tonsils

out, Im so stressed about making a decision.

Try checking Antistreptolysin O titers and DnaseB titers. Also check for

mitochondrial dysfunction which makes one vulnerable to anesthesia injury. For

details on mito dysfunction, check this website:

www.mitoaction.org

I am sure some of the more experienced parents on the forum can suggest some

natural treatments for enlarged/inflammed tonsils.

Good luck
