is in Afghan. Fortunately at the base of the mountains and not in the middle of the country so the land he is on is more fertile. He said it has been raining a ton which turns out not to be so good as it flooded the air strip and caved in the roofs of many of the buildings on his post, included thier office and shop!!! It did cool down the temp, but afterwards made it sooooo muggy and nasty!

Vacation was defitnitely worth the after effects!!! The walking did a number on me but TN was so beautiful. The Smokey Mts were a site!

Texas is in the triple digits where I am at so that keeps me holed up in my house!!! I venture out after the sun goes to bed. Makes me feel like a vampire. Maybe I should find my son's teeth he got at Halloween! LOL

Hey stranger! Tammy, it is so good to hear from you. Has been in Afghanistan or Iraq? A good friend of mine has a hubby who has been in Afghanistan working. How's your MS? I hope the Texas heat is not too bad for you this summer. Your vacation sounds like it was truly wonderful:)hugs

Guess some of you have been wondering where the heck I've been?! I'm still here but have not been online in quite some time. Val can vouch for me as we usually talk via facebook and I know she hasn't seen me on there in quite a while either!!! I have been sooo busy or just sooo tired that the computer just hasn't been a priority. came home on leave for almost 3 weeks in June/July. We had a nice visit and it killed me to have to put him back on the plane. His contract is over in Oct, but he is considering one more contract. The money is just too good and we are getting so many things paid off. We even bought a new truck while he was home, which we desperately needed. I went on vacation to Tennessee with my mother and family for a week after he left and then stayed at my mom's for a week after we returned and just got back last Sunday from there. We had a great time! Gatlinburg

was beautiful and the kids had fun at Dollywood! We did the typical tourist stuff but boy did it all wear me out! We stopped over night in Memphis on the way home and did the Bealle Street walk and ate at the Hard Rock. Wanted to go see Graceland but there just wasn't time. I'll get back there some day.

and I are going to Vegas in November. Leaving on the 1st, my birthday! We were suppose to get married there so we will renew our vows while we are there! Have I ever told everyone how much I love that man?! Well I do!!

Anyway, that's what has been going on in a nutshell. Love to you all!
