Well, how convenient that Sharon brought up this topic. LOL

Now I can kvetch. At my new place there's an enclosed courtyard and I've been letting Whisper Cat out so she can get some air. I'm home when she goes out and, honestly, she only stays out maybe a minute at a time. But, an anonymous neighbor complained to the condo association. So, I received a first warning that says the cat is out pooping on the sidewalk!

It gets my goat as neighbors let their dogs out without a leash and there's poop on the sidewalk that's DOG poop and not cat poop. (I don't know of cat's who poop in the open. They look for dirt so they can cover it up.) Twice, a neighbor's dog has even come into my condo to chase my cat because that dog wasn't on a leash. I have to believe that dog's owner is the one to complain about Whisper because who else would know where my cat lives?

And, it bugs me that the person complaining didn't come speak to me first. As a neighbor, that person could talk to me before going to the association to report the cat. If I see that neighbor's dog outside again without a leash, I'll have to report it!

And ANYONE who has EVER been owned by a cat would KNOW that they do NOT poop on sidewalks!!!!

I know. Most of the time Whisper just sits out in front of the door. She's not pooping on the sidewalk or barking at people passing by. I'm going to call the condo association on Monday. I'm sure they won't tell me who filed the complaint. But, I want to know why they think a cat is doing her business on a sidewalk.Dan U dao_nguu@...

That's totally ridiculous Dan! If the idiot dares to complain again, tell him/her to provide the evidence. Cats don't poop on sidewalks and their poop doesn't resemble a dog's. Any more complaints and I'd mention his letting his off leash dog chase your cat into your home!
