$3,918.00- 4,353.00/mo. Working in the Fire Department Office of

Special Events (OSE) in tasks related to special event, mass

gathering, and all-hazard emergency management planning preparedness,

response, recovery, grant management and special event and emergency

operations. THIS POSITION IS GRANT FUNDED. Support activities of the

Arlington Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) and other task

related to UASI as assigned; assist with updating and maintaining the

City's Special Event Plan and annexes, including organizing

activities, coordinating resources, and training City staff in plan

activities; assist with development of grant application process

including supporting administration and adhering to grant conditions

and grant management; and preparing special reports to appropriate

City officials; assist OSE in the areas of special event planning in

relation to the City of Arlington's Entertainment District that

contains the venues of the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Six Flags

Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor and the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium;

assist the City of Arlington Public Safety Planning Committee with

Super Bowl XLV planning activities to include response and recovery

equipment identification and procurement, attending regional Super

Bowl planning meetings and coordination with regional, state, federal

partners for Super Bowl preparations; Bachelor's degree in Emergency

Management, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Homeland Security

or closely related field plus two years experience in emergency

management or similar fields, or any equivalent combination of

education and/or experience. Valid Texas Operator's License, Class

C. Strong technical writing skills highly preferred. Offer of
