Children's Trauma Criteria

Attached is the updated Trauma Activation criteria which Children's Utilizes to

determine best response for patients arriving with traumatic injury, usually

arriving EMS or Air. Please share this info. with all of your EMS personnel who

may be caring for our pediatric patients at the scene as well as transporting

them. This information is most often received by EMS PTA and is crucial in

determining what we must provide for the child to have the best opportunity for

full recovery after a traumatic injury. This information is vital and is very

helpful if the paramedics/ EMT's know exactly what determines we have our trauma
