Guest guest
Marshall, a pro football player with a history of rapid mood swings and explosive rages on and off the field, has come forward and shared that he has been diagnosed with borderline pd. After years of misdiagnoses and ineffective therapy, he finally received a diagnosis of borderline pd. After a neurological work-up, an intensive course of (very expensive) private therapy and group therapy treatment geared specifically for bpd, Marshall now has both a better understanding of his disorder and a better handle on managing his extreme emotions and the resulting extreme behaviors. Marshall is campaigning for more awareness of the disorder and encouraging those with bpd traits to seek treatment. I think its a very positive step in the direction of more bpd awareness; hopefully it will result in more bpd research studies, and changes that will allow bpd to be covered for treatment by insurance. Here's a link to an article about him: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/fl-brandon-marshall-borderline\ \ -person20110730,0,3435299.story -Annie
Guest guest
How fascinating. I wonder what the right plan of action for his wife would be. Does she stay with him, letting him work through those issues or does she leave because of past offenses? I'm so glad this came in the news. It's someone who is clearly successful in spite of his personality disorder. I'm glad he's finally getting the help he needs. Thanks for sharing, Annie! > > Marshall, a pro football player with a history of rapid mood swings and explosive rages on and off the field, has come forward and shared that he has been diagnosed with borderline pd. > > After years of misdiagnoses and ineffective therapy, he finally received a diagnosis of borderline pd.
