Guest guest
something my therapist taught me that is working great for me this week is that you picture some kind of container and mentally put everything you don't want to think about in it and save it for a designated time to deal with it. for me it is either with my DH for somethings, and with her (I am going every week right now) at first my box was a little boring but it now has grown green pointy teeth and eats the thoughts with a loud CHOMP. at first I was reluctant, and it took longer to derail the thoughts, but the teeth helped me. I am feeling so much better this week. physically and emotionally. great doctors are amazing !!!!! Guest guest
M, Great analogy. If I may suggest, watch this video, it is by a comedian talking about the difference in men and women's brains. I only send it to watch the part about men's brains. It is similar to what you are describing. Sometimes thinking about it with a laugh is helpful too.
