Guest guest
Hi,We got our son's test back, and we won't be able to show it to his doctor until next week. I couldn't understand if our son has the MTHFR mutation or not. If you are familiar with interpreting this test's results please contact me off-list and I'll send you a copy. I'd greatly appreciate it.Thanks,Noura

Guest guest
The last month our family has been learning (the hard way) about the MTHFR. My 28yo niece just lost her 1st baby @ 7 1/2 months...just genetic tested w/MTHFR & ciliac. It also just showed up in my sons Zyto...I fully believe this is one more piece of our puzzle. Both my son w/our biomed dr & also my niece were put on FolaPro. When mentioning in my sons last appt about my niece I was given these suggestions for my niece to concider looking into w/her doc (because of her 3rd term loss): - Wait 3 cycles to get pregnant again to allow uterus to heal. - Get on high doses of MTHF-Folate (Thorne or Metagenics FolaPro) - 3000 mg daily, Folinic also. - Get checked for Factor V liadin (higher risk of clotting). - Do a baby asprin daily immediately upon getting pregnant. - Do 2000-3000mg of fish oil daily to reduce clotting risk. - Consider consulting w/a Maternal-Fetal Specialist I trust the person that gave me this advise as she had some miscarraiges...looked into this herself then had a successful pregnancy in following this herself. As always, check w/your doc because this was meant for my family...but hope it gives you something to further look into. Blessings!!! Guest guest
I would recommend Lyme testing. I had midterm " missed miscarriages " and this is common with Lyme moms. I did treat for MTHFR too, but my son was born with Lyme induced autism. Guest guest
My paperwork notes say 3000mg daily....she did not give a dose yet for folinic... Please do additional research and/or ask your own doc for your individual doses as this was for my family. Blessings, Rita ps...I agree w/Caryn lyme testing is also a good idea... > > > > > > The last month our family has been learning (the hard way) about the MTHFR. Guest guest
Additional clarification...I just realized I need to clarify between my paperwork.... for my niece for pregnancy it's 3000mg daily.... for my ASD sons dose it's 1 tab 2x daily (for my son we're using Metagenics FolaPro w/Folate-800mcg tablets). Happy Easter!! Rita > > > > > > > > The last month our family has been learning (the hard way) about the MTHFR.
