Guest guest
I'm sitting here looking at a round of chelation (Calcium EDTA supps) and a huge bottle of Valtrex. My 5 year old son has low levels of heavy metals now (previous rounds + biomed for 3.5 years) but very elevated HPV6 counts. Have read conflicting advice: - metals make virus worse - don't do Valtrex until metals are gone - doesn't matter - treat viruses Also: - only do Valtrex if you can do 3 times a day - twice a day is fine (that is what our Dr prescribed) Also: - get yeast under control before you start - F it - you'll be controlling yeast the whole time anyway and really, when is it EVER under control??? I just really don't want to blow this! I have always felt that the anti-viral treatment was going to be great for him but it scares the pants off of me - he is SO young and will he tell me if he feels like hell on them? Should he? If he does - I keep going, right? UGH!! Flip a coin? Or do you all have advice for me? Thanks so much - I love this forum! Ellie
Guest guest
We did both valtrex and chelated. Valtrex was a big one for one of my guys. It is important to do it 3 x's a day. We did one in the morning, one after school and one while he was sleeping. He started to put words together while on it. We took an anti-fungal at the same time. Guest guest
My son started Valtrex at 3. He's now 8.Here's the sitch on metals: viruses hold on to metals. It does not mean that you must chelate first. It just means viruses hold on to metals. If you chelate while on valtrex, it will result in much better pulls. But not chelating doesn't make it any less effective, it just means you still have metals. I didn't start chelating until my son was 5 (wow! 3 years ago!).If your doc Rx twice a day, then try twice a day. 3 times is better but 2x works for some. (NOT in my house and I regret it every time I try to reduce it.)You will have to deal with yeast. But if you aren't already on an antifungal, then don't try to get it "under control." You do need an Rx antifungal (systemic) but you don't want to start both at the same time. It does make for longer die off since you have to go through both but it also makes for easier die off when you compare to doing both and you are also able to keep things straight on what's doing what. And yes, you will be dealing with yeast the entire time. Why is in the link below.Don't be scurred. Yes, if he feels like crap, keep going. Give motrin. It should pass at around 2 weeks but it's been known to last longer. And sometimes it kicks up yeast so bad that you won't see the negatives drop until you start the antifungal but again, now you know what symptoms are from yeast and what's from viruses... ~ Antiviral Therapy 101~ gryffinstail.wordpress.com/ ~~ @Gryffins_Tail ~ I'm sitting here looking at a round of chelation (Calcium EDTA supps) and a huge bottle of Valtrex. Guest guest
everyone has diffrent beliefs on the whole metal/virus thing... my advice to you is to look into them all and do what feels right for you. I do follow andy cutler chelation...he believes that antivirals can be hard on the body if you dont do at least a year of low dose chelation first..that is only one belief. and not everyone agrees with that. but you could look up andy cutler if you wanted to look into that one. i have heard people do amazing on valtrex without chelating first. but if it were me i would do one thing at a time not both... channa To: mb12valtrex Sent: Tuesday, October 11, 2011 3:55 PMSubject: Getting started and scared/hopeful - flip a coin? Guest guest
Dear Ellie, Today is my 25th day on Valtrex, 29th day of Ketoconazole. My Rx is 2x a day. Upon reading the reason of Stan why it neededto be 3x a day (half life of Valtrex), I was convinced. After 2 weeksof 2x a day of Valtrex, I did 3x a day. When I go back to the DAN,i will tell her that I changed it to 3x a day. I'd like to chelate butstill need resources before going back to DAN. I believe it willbe more beneficial. Do one thing at a time but later you coulddo both. "Spacing" is crucial so you know the effect of oneand the combination. Pray about it for guidance. Guest guest
The spacing I meant here is when you are introducing one medicationthen another one. Like I gave the Ketoconazole ahead like 3 days aheador more before the Valtrex... and later the chelating agent. So youknow the die-off reaction of each one. Sorry for the confusion.I don't mean spacing during the day.Anyhow, my Valtrex dosing, one before going to school, then after coming toschool then after dinner. It should be more than 4 hours apartif possible since half life of Valtrex is 4 hours. I'm giving ketoconazole almost the same time as Valtrex. Probiotics before going to sleep.I used OLE before, I'm doing the same thing as Valtrex. Schooltime is a factor to us. -MhelTo: mb12valtrex From: dan-ruth-setlak@...Date: Tue, 11 Oct 2011 18:54:23 -0400Subject: Re: Getting started and scared/hopeful - flip a coin?
