Guest guest
I just got a call from my Dad about his financial hearing with Nada yesterday. Things went well. Nada has been a stay-at-home-witch since I was about 4 but had to go back to work when she was forcibly removed from our residence in November and so she went back to school to get her nursing license renewed. Since she graduated in February, she's said it is impossible to find a job and therefore simply babysat one of her minion's teenage daughter's baby. Well, it turns out she's had a job as a home-visit nurse for 3 months now and has been concealing it from the court! My dad has been supporting her with some $3300 a month (which, btw, was money that was previously being used towards my room and board at college [i pay my own tuiton] and lawyer fees). Now he only has to pay her $1000 a month because SHE requested this financial hearing so she could force him to give her more than $4000! I find it hilarious - sort of. She did promise to destroy him financially if he ever left her and she's doing a fantastic job with lawyer fees (he's paying for hers as well) and such. But so far, this legal battle has gone rather smoothly because she just keeps digging her own grave. She could have really screwed my dad over, but for some reason she hasn't been able to keep it together enough to do so. But my consolation is that our lives are already so much better now that she's gone and when this is done, they will continue to get better as we heal the hurt she's left. We will take our revenge by having wonderful lives and know that she will make her life suck all on her own. " That's the best revenge of all: happiness. Nothing drives people crazier than seeing someone have a good f*cking life. " -Chuck Palahniuk
Guest guest
I am so happy for you, your siblings and your dad that your nada has been unable to wreak the vengeance she so desired to do, due to her own ineptitude and her own deceitfulness. Seeing nada so publicly and blatantly thwarted would feel so very gratifying to me too, if I were in your situation. And I agree: a happy, fulfilled, full life enriched with friends and lovely experiences IS the best revenge. Thumb's up! -Annie > > I just got a call from my Dad about his financial hearing with Nada yesterday. Guest guest
Congrats on the good news. It is great that you are in such a positive state of mind and looking forward. I hope you can continue that way. I know I struggle at times with looking forward and not getting caught up on past situations with nada. You just have to remember the state of mind you are in now when things get tough. You are int he best situation you could be in with her out of the picture. My mother has been the same way about her finances. Always trying to get as much out of my dad as possible and " claiming " to be unemployed for the past three years yet somehow still owning two cars and helping me pay for school. It's always clear something is up but you never know what. And wow, to her going after more money when employed. Shows how clouded someone with BPD can be. Also I absolutely love the Palahniuk quote. I hadn't heard that one by him. I went over to my desk and wrote it down. > > I just got a call from my Dad about his financial hearing with Nada yesterday.
