Guest guest
I didn't know that she was dx'ed with Aspergers, it only said Autistic in the movie. I think when I was doing my research on AS it is a relatively new dx. as part of the Autism Spectrum Disorders. But having said that she did appear to be high functioning Asperger. I need to add about the movie, depending how or anyone elses children react to animal cruelty you might want to review this movie first. Temple was horrified to see how they treated the cattle that were headed for the slaughter houses. Thats when she came up with her idea to make the transistion from the herd to the area where they killed the cattle a less stressful one. She compared their anxiety with her own. So there are a few scenes where it shows the before treatment before the new system. It doesn't show the actual slaughtering, but a shadow of a gun put up to a bulls head, and when they were coming down the shute there were some that drowned and it showed that. But, all in all what impressed me about this movie was her. She was a remarkable woman that overcame so many obstacles to become who she is. If he does something wrong, which is very rare, he will punish himself. Just now he did something "wrong", which could have damaged his bike but thankfully did not. When I went past his PC just now, he wasn't there. Where are you? He was in his closet! He self-punishes! It is SO cute there are no words....I told him that was not necessary...damn but he is just such an awesome kid! ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ Pragmatic Visionary http://www.affiliates-natural-salt-lamps.com/pages/156.php
Guest guest
Aspergers is a high functioning form of Autism. If you do a web search for Temple Grandin Aspergers you will find mentions. Thanks for letting me know more about the movie. I'm not sure it would be good for to see with the animal cruelty parts. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Thats what I was thinking about with because if she is intune with animals those parts would upset her as it did Temple, but she was older than too.
