Guest guest
Our team is deeply saddened by the loss of Ozro . We came to know Ozro many years ago when he was a member of our team. He had a vision for a team in the Dallas area, and he successfully formed our sister team, TX-4 DMAT. We have worked side by side with him, and his team, and we have debated at Commander meetings many, many times. We have maintained the utmost respect for Ozro, his accomplishments, his visions, his dedication to his profession, and his commitment to serve people in times of disasters. It is a tragic loss not only to the team members of TX-4 DMAT, but to the community, to his family, friends, co-workers, and our own team, TX-1 DMAT. He will be missed, and our team extends our deepest condolences and prayers to all whose lives he touched. , EMSC Commander TX-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) National Disaster Medical System HHS/OASPR/OPEO susan.simmons@... Guest guest
I am very sad to hear about Ozro. I don't have any funny stories to tell. But I met Ozro YEARS ago when I was a brand new Paramedic working for a short while at Careflite Ground in Dallas. He was on the flight team, and I carried him places by ground when the weather was bad numerous times. One thing I can say about Ozro was he never had the " flight crew " attitude (and yes, I can say that because I flew for 2 years, so I know what the " attitude " can be). He was alwasy kind and funny and soft-spoken and very easy to get along with. He never treated any of the ground crews like they were any " less " than him that I saw. He was a good man. God go with you, Ozro. Guest guest
As a backfill member of NC-1 and team member of IA-1 DMATs, I had the opportunity to work with Ozro during my deployment with NC-1 to Houston's Rice University. He was a professional that was obviously dedicated to insuring the well-being of communities not only in TX but wherever he led his team. I know the other members of the NC-1 DMAT team deployed to TX join me in offering our condolences and prayers to his family, friends and the TX-4 DMAT, which it was obvious he was extremely proud of.
