Guest guest
My son is 3 year old. He has perseverative stereotyped behavior which are worse in the evening than in the morning. He also has some anxiety issues and has constant thoughts of things he like and that makes him walk back and forth or in circles. Recently he had fever and was treated with antibiotics. During fever and post fever he was like a NT child. I have read somewhere that this may be a symptom of viral infection in kids. Please share your experience. Guest guest
Here is what I know about this. You will find several posts by parents saying their kids lose lots of symptoms while on antibiotics and/or during a fever, which return upon stopping the antibiotics or when the fever leaves. One explanation is that pleomorphic bacteria, like Lyme, go into a hibernating state when antibiotics or fever is present. When the Lyme hibernates, symptoms decrease. But, when the Lyme comes out of hibernation, symptoms come back immediately, sometimes even worse. Children with autism are believed to have immune dysfunction by the docs doing biomed. When the body has a fever, it can be a sign that the immune system is working properly. Therefore, the child will seem more typical. Also, keep in mind that somehow genetic weaknesses or damages to nutrient receptors leave these children vulnerable to not be able to fight off these infections. Also, if one has viral overload, they can develop inability to handle bacterial infections. So, it's really a combination of things. Most with autism appear to have all of the following infections (viral, bacterial, worms, protozoa, yeast), and also too many toxins and not enough nutrients, such as B vitamins, Vitamin D, and a lot of other nutrients, which varies per child. The autism recovery docs know this and treat for various things simultaneously. Love and prayers, Heidi N During fever and post fever he was like a NT child.
