Guest guest
True. That's a very common reason for depressive feelings when you live somewhere close to the pole, where the amount of daylight differs so much over the year. I read somewhere a few years ago that a study had showed that the closer you lived to the North Pole, the higher your risk of suffering from depressions and depressive moods during the winter. Well, duh...Then again, some people gets seasonal depressions from the constant daylight during summer too (although, they are fewer). love/Reb>> Thanks nne. Guest guest
Is it dark in winter where you are, Reb? I talked to my sister-in-law a few weeks ago and she was very affected by the dark days. She lives in Alaska a few miles from where I used to be.love SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Yes. Although we live in the south of Sweden, where it's not quite as little daylight during winter (and not quite as much of it during summer) as in the north. (see more here: http://www.sweden.se/eng/Home/Work/Life_in_Sweden/Climate_nature/Time-daylight/ )I don't much mind the dark winters. Of, course, I am less energetic during the dark months, but that's just natural (as I concluded in junior high: If darkness is the absence of light energy, and cold is the absence of heat energy, then winter is just plain absence of all energy...). I am still, however, not quite adjusted to not having midnight sun during summer (which you don't quite get this far south, sun actually do set during summer here...), darkness and summer just seem incompatible to me somehow... I lived further north before I left home for college, and that's what I am used to. , on the other hand, is bothered more by the summer light. love/Reb> >> > Thanks nne.
