To warrior mom,I have read something about needing folate when on MB12 shots.Did you take anything with your shots. They seemed to help when we first started but all gains seem to quickly be lost with everything we try. I am getting very discouraged, autism seems to be winning. Some kids do great on MB12, my son does, I give the shots every day, I started ever 3 days and within a few hours I noticed clarity of language but my son was 2 1/2. I increased to every other day and therapists would say he was full of language on those days, the off day he had less language. I have heard some kids stim more and it doesn't help. My son has very angry tantrums on oral B6, which works great for some kids, they are all different.

Good luck!!!

I did a search through past messages to find some info on "what to expect after starting MB12 shots." Couldn't find anything...may be I wasn't using the search right...Anyway...we are going to start the MB12 shots. My 12 yo son will get them every 3 days. We've decided not to start tonight simply because it is a FULL MOON here and for some reason we battle other behaviors. What should I expect...are there any serious side effects that I should be aware of? Is this one of those meds that at first he may have a negative reaction (e.g. increased behaviors) but then will have a positive reaction?Any, and all, advice is welcome! Praying for some great results!!
