Guest guest
Hi, Y'All: I went to see Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band last night at a venue near San , CA. It was a fantastic show. It not only featured Ringo, but artists such as Edgar Winter ("Free Ride"), Rick Derringer ("Rock and Roll Hoochie-Coo"), and ("Dreamweaver"). The event was at Saratoga Mountain Winery and I want to give them credit for their handicap-accessible facilities. They have carts to convey folks with walking issues from the parking lot to the stage area. And, the staff was very helpful assisting people to and from their seats. Attached are photos of Ringo on stage. He's looking good for 70!Dan U dao_nguu@... 2 of 2 Photo(s) ringo01.jpg
Guest guest
Sharon, you saw the Beatles when you were four? And, you remember it?I put together a video of the concert and posted it on youtube.com. The video is a montage of most of the songs performed. Every song was wonderful. Rick Derringer did an amazing guitar solo at the end of "Rock & Roll Hoochie Koo." But, the highlight was possibly Edgar Winter performing "enstein." During the song he switches between keyboard, saxophone and percussion.Dan U dao_nguu@...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DgnAcFeZ3wDan U dao_nguu@... What songs did he do? And the others! I was just listening to Dreamweaver on the radio this morning. I saw Ringo with the Beatles when they came on tour in the US for the first time.
